Description

A Navajo sterling silver naja pendant by Ervin Begay, featuring a spiderweb Number 8 Mine turquoise cabochon by Navajo artist Greg Perry. This large pendant is crafted in a traditional naja form, suspended from a decorative bale adorned with stamped designs. The central feature is a rectangular cabochon stone exhibiting a dark matrix with prominent light blue to greenish inclusions, set within a sawtooth bezel. The silver elements, including the naja arms, are decorated with stamped motifs and applied silver bead accents. Visible markings on the reverse include "E.L.BEGAY" and "Sterling" near the bottom ends, with an additional stamp of a "GP" and "STERLING" seen through a cutout on the back of the bezel. A temporary retail tag affixed to the reverse identifies the item as "ERVIN BEGAY NAVAJO HANDMADE SS #8 PENDANT $2,000".
