Description
A Zuni sterling silver and turquoise snake ring by Joy Calavaza, daughter in law of Effie Calavaza. The ring features a prominently set oval, cabochon-cut turquoise stone exhibiting natural matrix, overlaid with a stylized silver snake appliqué with two small circular accents forming the eyes. Additional silver detailing, representing the snake’s body, wraps around the stone setting and down the shoulders of the band. The interior of the band is stamped "EFFIE C. Zuni", indicative of a Native American Southwest style.
Ring face measures approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) in length and 0.75 inches (1.9 cm) in width.
