Description
A Navajo sterling silver inlay pendant by Richard Bitsie and inlay by Wilson Dawes. This oval-shaped pendant features an intricate multi-stone inlay depicting a landscape scene. The inlay utilizes bright blue turquoise for a cloud, a onyx for the sky with smaller white, red, and orange inlaid elements suggesting, and striated picture josper forming the ground. Two structures, one appearing as a building and the other a tower-like form, are inlaid on the ground using tan, black, and light blue stones. The silver setting includes a textured border and a broad bail. The reverse of the pendant is stamped "R. BITSIE Sterling" and retains a white sticker label that reads "RICHARD BITSIE NAVAJO HANDMADE INLAY BY WILSON DAWES $1,250".
Measures 2.5" L x 1.25" W (including bail); oval pendant measures 1.75" L x 1.25" W.
