Description
A Zuni sterling silver inlay brooch or pendant by Loretta Gia, crafted in the form of a parrot using a mosaic or channel inlay technique. The front features numerous intricately cut and fitted pieces of natural stone, spiny oyster, turquoise, mother of pearl, coral, lapis all set within a polished silver metal frame. The reverse side reveals a hinged pin stem with a safety clasp and a separate bale, allowing for wear as either a brooch or pendant. Engraved cursive script reading "Loretta Gia" is visible on the back, along with another word below it that appears to be "Zuni".
