Description
A Navajo sterling silver and turquoise butterfly-form pendant. The polished silver body is executed in a Southwestern style, with the front set with six irregularly shaped, cabochon-cut turquoise stones exhibiting natural brown matrix. The stones are bordered by scalloped edges and adorned with stamped details including small starburst motifs and dots. The reverse features a substantial bail for suspension and a stamped hallmark depicting a stylized animal figure above a partially legible "925" mark, indicating sterling silver. An accompanying label attributes the pendant to Navajo artist Emerson Degarito.
Measures approximately 2 inches wide x 1.75 inches tall.
