Description
A Navajo sterling silver multi-strand necklace featuring a pendant by Sandra Nez and hand-strung beads by Betty Bitsie. The substantial silver-colored metal pendant, crafted in a stylized naja-like form, is set with eight polished cabochons of varying shapes, displaying vibrant orange and reddish hues with visible striations, identified as spiny oyster. The five beaded strands consist of small, irregular beads in variegated teal turquoise, red-orange coral, and mother of pearl. The silver elements, including the pendant, a decorative slider, and end caps, are adorned with stamped sunburst and linear motifs. The reverse of the pendant is clearly stamped "SN" and "STERLING, " and bears an adhesive label identifying it as "SANDRA NEZ NAVAJO HANDMADE SS SPINY OYSTER PENDANT." An additional tag identifies the necklace as "MULTI STONE 5 Strand" and "Betty Bitsie Navajo Handstrung"
