Description
A Navajo sterling silver ring by Tillie Jon, featuring a Sonoran Gold turquoise stone. This large ring showcases an oval cabochon-cut turquoise stone, exhibiting a blue-green hue with a prominent brown matrix. The stone is set in a plain bezel, bordered by a twisted wire rope and an outer scalloped or pie-crust edge. The substantial silver band, consistent with Southwestern Native American jewelry style, tapers towards the palm and is adorned with ribbed shoulders and a repeating stamped wavy or serpent-like pattern along its sides. The interior of the band is stamped with the marks "T. JON" and "STERLING."
