Description
A Navajo sterling silver ‘Storyteller’ necklace by Lloyd Becenti. This piece is composed of seventeen articulated, stylized bear-shaped pendants, varying in size and linked together by oval rings, terminating in a chain with a lobster clasp. Each pendant features intricate, deeply engraved designs depicting abstract motifs, stylized faces, and elements resembling celestial bodies, feathers, or foliage, rendered in a distinctive Indigenous art style. The reverse of the pendants displays a hammered texture, and a unique, abstract maker’s mark is visible on one large bear. The clasp is stamped ‘925’ confirming sterling silver.
