Description
A Navajo sterling silver ring by Sam Yellowhair, featuring a Sonoran Gold turquoise cabochon. The prominent oval cabochon stone displays a vibrant mix of blue and green hues with a distinct brown and metallic-gold colored matrix. The stone is set within a twisted wire bezel, surrounded by applied silver beads and stylized star-like elements. The wide split-shank is decorated with stamped patterns, including a central sun-like motif and crescent forms on the shoulders, indicative of an Native American aesthetic. The interior of the shank is clearly marked with the maker’s stamp "SY" above "STERLING".
