Description
A Gilbert Smith Navajo sterling silver and multi-stone micro inlay belt buckle. This rectangular buckle features a vibrant multi-stone inlay on its front surface. The intricate design, executed primarily in a channel inlay style, depicts a stylized landscape or celestial scene against a onyx. Inlaid materials include various shades of turquoise, iridescent opal, reddish-orange spiny oyster, and textured picture jasper, arranged to form abstract architectural or geological shapes, radiating lines, and scattered dots. The reverse of the buckle is marked "Sterling" and bears the initials "GS".
