Description
A Navajo handmade sterling silver ‘storyteller’ necklace by Lloyd Becenti, composed of twenty-one graduated, stylized bison-shaped plaques, connected by small jump rings, with an oval-link chain and lobster clasp. The plaques are intricately detailed with raised or etched designs, depicting various motifs including human-like faces within their forms. The reverse of the largest central plaque bears an adhesive label reading ‘LLOYD BECENTI NAVAJO HANDMADE STERLING SILVER NECK.SET $3,000’, and a stamped mark ‘LB STERLING’ is visible on another plaque.
