Description
A Zuni sterling silver multi-gemstone inlay drop necklace by Emma Bowakaty. The necklace is composed of sterling silver, featuring a central cluster of five inlaid tear-drop shaped elements and a single suspended tear-drop drop, connected to a long link chain secured by a hook clasp. Each tear-drop element is inlaid with geometrically cut tesserae in a mosaic pattern, utilizing materials such as turquoise, coral, onyx, and various shades of mother-of-pearl/shell. Indistinct etched markings, including initials ‘EB’ and the word ‘Zuni’, are visible on the verso of the central pendant, potentially indicating the maker Emma Bowekaty.
